Good keyboard

It's a wonderful keyboard.
The shipping cost was pretty high, but it was delivered in a timely manner.
It's sad there is no barebone version of this keyboard (only ANSI-layout).

Best Keyboard I ever had

Super high quality. Massiv Keyboard, heavy weight. IT is not moving during typing. I recommend the Keyboard without any limitations.

VERY STURDY AND FULLY CUSTOMISABLE KEYBOARD

I have received the package with some damage, bent corners and a ruptured side of the box, but fortunately the keyboard itself arrived intact with no damage. I guess DPD doesn't take that much care with Customer's orders. The delivery went smooth, ordered on the 25th of Dec and packages arrived around 9th of Jan. I guess that if it weren't for the holidays, it would have arrived earlier. Overall the keyboard is sounding great with the stock red switches (got some Silver ones as well) .Typing is on a whole other level compared to my old Logitech G910 with their proprietary switches, and my Ornata v2 mechamembrane.

Pros:
-The level of customisability is insane for me which I am just starting my journey in the Custom keyboards world.
-the lighting is great, and with the shine through keycaps the letters are also visible in a very dark room
-the knob feels so great Id play all day with it but I'll have to limit myself to not wear it down : )) (Volume knob on my Ornata V2 stopped working properly after a few months)
-the original keycaps fit so nicely and easy to swap and sound great, compared to a separate set of keycaps which are too tight for the box stems of the switches
-the stabilizers are quite ok and limit the wobble
-overall wobble of the keys is almost inexistent, but it depends on the type of switches you are using
-the hotswap option is a great addition I always wanted to have on a keyboard so i can change the keys without having to solder them like on the G910 where a couple of the hard to find and kind of expensive proprietary switches had broken and had to take it fully apart to replace them outside warranty. No such issue here since its so easy to pull the switches out and swap them. This is the most important feature in my opinion that every keyboard should have!
- The lighting is great and has a lot of modes to choose from either straight on the keyboard or on the VIA software. I love the fact that you can see the CAPS and NUM keys highlighted instead of having a separate Led light.
-so easy to customise everything on the keyboard with the VIA software (it still needs some tweaks though since it kind of lacks some special symbols or types of keys that some particular ISO keyboards have
-great that it comes with some replacement keycaps, already thrown out the Mac keys :))), also some replacement screws and some minimal tools.
-Cable is braided and very sturdy, comes with the Type C on both ends and also a Type C to Type A adapter
-for my heavy hands, the Red Keychron K Pro switches seem to be so easy to press compared to the mechamembrane ones on the Ornata V2 and the Romer G ones on the Logitech G910 and it makes typing so fun and easy and my hands and fingers do not tire as much. Maybe I need to get more practice on them to get used or maybe I need to get the blue or green ones that have a higher actuation force just to have the different options.
- Overall flex of the keyboard is almost inexistent even if this is a plastic casing and seems to be very sturdy. Quite heavy compared to my other keyboards
- Overall finish is great
- Hight is great and it's nice that I can use any palm rest with it. The one from my Ornata V2 fits almost perfectly lenght and hight wise with this Keychron V6, to the point u might confuse it being a package deal if it weren't for the Logo and the angled sides :)) .

Cons:
-the only major thing I don't like is that the only place they mention something about the connectivity is at the end of the page via the specs "Connectivity Type-C cable", and is not that clear it is a wired keyboard. The keyboard in the images is shown without the cable and that gives you a false impression of wireless, maybe it's also my fault that I did not check with Keychron about this info, They should make it more clear as they have it on the bottom of the keyboard itself where it says "Keychron Wired Mechanical Keyboard V6C1" that it is a detachable wired keyboard. I guess it's a reason to get an additional wireless one as well :))) I'll see if there is any custom option to integrate a battery and make it wireless. Would have loved to see Keychron offering this mod!!
-ISO version of V6 on the VIA doesn't have all the possible keys available as for UK version, but since it is an external software it might need some more tweaks.

So as a recap my overall experience with the keyboard is great. Hope that it will last me a lot of years. Hope my feedback would come in useful for others that are interested in this keyboard.

Thanks Keychron!

An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ultra-low-power ARM architecture MCU equipped with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz out of the box, which makes latency non-existent for the competitive game.

OSA Profile ABS Backlight Shine-Through Keycaps

To further leverage your typing experience, the V6 ISO version comes with our unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical angle) and ABS keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable fingertip feel and a fantastic backlight shine-through effect.

Switch Layouts Between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V6 comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Program V6 with QMK & VIA

With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, and more.

Programmable Knob

Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the aluminum rotary encoder allows you to easily customize your favorite keys and macros on the knob through the VIA software.

You can easily customize the V6's knob to your desired key or macro commands such as: zooming in/out, adjusting screen brightness, brush size, volume, selecting video clips or photos, or backlight hue.

Hot-swappable.

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights.

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Pre-lubed Keychron K Pro Switch

By optimizing the switch mold, the K Pro switch wobbles less than a standard mechanical switch and feels smoother on each hit. Plus, the factory pre-lubed process on all the K Pro switches (exclude the clicky ones), no doubt this will ensure the best smoothness at your fingertips when typing.

All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers

All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers

The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less shaky. The big keys’ (space bar, shift, enter, backspace) typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron V6 also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.
