Double-Gasket Design

The Double Gasket Design is a new innovative structure in the industry. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals.

Experience the next level of key sounds and comfort with our gasket mount design together with a flexible PC (Polycarbonate) plate. This design combination allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound.

An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ultra-low-power ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 chip (MCU) equipped with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz right out of the box on type-c wired mode (90 Hz on wireless mode), which makes the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games.

Keychron K Pro Mechanical Switch

By optimizing the switch mold, the Q8 Pro switch wobbles less than the standard mechanical switch and feels smoother on each hit. Plus, the factory pre-lubed K Pro switches will ensure the best fingertip smoothness. Not to mention the banana switch provides an early tactile bump at the top with a uniquely smooth experience like those Panda switches on the market.

No detail is too insignificant when it comes to your fingertip feel. We’ve integrated the PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers for a smoother typing experience with less wobbliness on the big keys such as the space bar, shift, enter, and delete keys. You can even customize your favorite stabilizers on your own.

Best keybard i ever had

The heaviest (even at 65%) keyboard i had, which I personally like, because it is also robust. I could see no downsides other than the pricetag. The keycaps, the banana switches, the RGB and the metallic frame all make it feel out of this world for a keyboard. The only thing i will have to learn to reappriciate is that these keycaps are non passthrough for the light. So using this on a tray in front of my projector playing games in an otherwise dark room made it very hard to see the letters. This of course is a minor thing which can be fixed just by keycaps.

Would like more support on how to order proper keycaps for an Alice board like that. For a beginner like me finding the right size space bars and sets wuth two "B"s very hard. Please keychron, offer Alice sets too.

Same bluetooth issues for me

I just got my Q8 pro and it seems pretty solid, so I hate to write negative things here. But I'm having the same issues as Pavel when using the keyboard in Bluetooth mode - the home/del keys, which I have mapped to macros in VIA, don't always work consistently in Bluetooth mode, though having the LEDs active seems so far to work 100% of the time. However, I would prefer to not always have the LEDs on with Bluetooth as it drains the battery. Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade soon that can correct this?

The only other issue is that the PCB is not as firmly mounted on the right side of the keyboard as it is on the left. So pressing on the rightmost keys slightly depresses the entire inside of the keyboard, a dip and waver that is a little bit annoying. It seems like it's just a screw that might be loose on that side, though I'm not quite ready to dismantle the whole board, being that I just got it.

Otherwise - a great design, especially for Mac users! It's hard to find a good Alice layout that has two ctrl/option keys on the bottom left side. And the sound profile is a little nice. Maybe a tiny bit pingier than I would like but I have SA profile keycaps on right now; I will try later with something GMK, I think.

I also prefer ISO layouts so I hope at some point they make a Bluetooth-enabled hotswappable PCB with an ISO layout and it's possible to purchase that separately, so I can swap it out. But otherwise I would highly recommend this keyboard!

Great typing experience spoiled by bugs

The overall experience is great: keyboard is heavy and solid; high build quality; sound is great and satisfying out of the box without any mods; the layout is very convenient and easy to get used to (when you are already typing with 10 fingers). Also I really like the Banana switches - perfect for typing and work.

But I have found some weird and inconvenient bug with the keyboard when it's connected via Bluetooth.
Keyboard is connected to my MacBook via Bluetooth together with an Apple Magic Mouse. Or it can be connected to a PC with Windows + another Bluetooth mouse, the behaviour/bug is the same.
Whenever I use mouse (click or even move it), some keys on the right side of the keyboard stop working.
Those keys are: Backspace, "|\", Enter, Right Shift, del, home, knob, arrow keys (up, right, down; left arrow key works fine). So after using a mouse, I have to click something else (e.g. Fn button) to be able to use any of these keys above.

This only happens when RGB is off. When I turn the RGB on, all the keys work fine irrespective of the mouse.
This is an issue for me as I prefer not to use RGB (to save the battery) and it really affects my typing/editing experience.

Another inconvenience is VIA support: the latest version does not recognise the keyboard, you have to manually upload the .json from the keychron web-site. Although, they have a detailed instruction.
